1st Annual Walk-A-Thon 2012
General Information Sheet

TO: MNS Families

DATES of Walk-A-Thon: Wednesday, October 24th

PLACE: MNS’ Amazing Playground

PURPOSE: As many of you are aware, MNS has included additional Enriching Programs to our curriculum such as Lil’ Sluggers and starting soon, Movement & Dance. Monthly costs to add these programs are being incurred by our school. MNS needs our help! Profits from this Walk-A-Thon will be used to off-set payment for our Enriching Programs. Our goal is to raise a net profit of $2,000. We can do this!!! Parents, families, and friends are encouraged to join and cheer on all of our kiddos.

PLEDGES: The goal is to have each student submit a basic pledge of $40. Please try to encourage your sponsors to pledge as much as possible and to inform them all donations are tax deductible and directly benefiting the growth of our kiddos. The minimum pledge is 50 cents per lap or a one-time pledge of $5 or more per sponsor. One lap will be around the tire hill and hopscotch area.

MNS FAMILIES: Some companies will match funds raised by your child or his/her class. If your company has a Donation Match Program, please let Noralyn Wolf and Stephanie Rider know what we’ll need to do to obtain matching funds.

SPONSOR SHEETS: Sponsor Sheets are used for the purpose of recording names of your sponsors, the money amount pledge, and the total laps completed. Please bring your sponsor sheet back to school by Tuesday, October 23rd. Thank you for submitting to your teachers. Additional sponsors may be obtained after the event.

COLLECTIONS: After the Walk-A-Thon, your sponsor sheets will be returned to you with the total laps walked filled in. How precious for our little ones to call (with your help of course) their families and friends with how many laps they completed and amount owed. Checks made payable to Millbrae Nursery School. Credit Card donations are also accepted. Please have your sponsors call Carla directly at (650) 589-3028 for Credit Card payments.

PARTICIPATION: This fund raiser will be done during school hours so all the students will walk together as one class. Please have your kiddos wear comfortable play clothes and shoes.

DEADLINE: All pledge money must be turned in by Friday, November 9th.
