Carla recently showed me the old photo albums. I am fascinated by them, since I like history, especially local, Millbrae history and San Mateo County history. I photographed some of the old photos and news clippings and intend to publish one a month.

I sent the clipping through a free OCR service and edited it a little where the text was unreadable:

Nursery School ‘Graduates’ Hold Reunion at Millbrae

MILLBRAE — Old friendships were renewed at the annual alumnae day luncheon of the Millbrae Nursery school at the Sabella’s restaurant.

Current members and alumnae of the parents’ organization as their guests the three faculty members. Mrs. C. A. Wheeler teacher director: Mrs. D. D. Dowling and Mrs. H. Kauffman, as well as Mrs. Opal Moberg, executive secretary, and Mrs. James Hills. teacher director of then Rollingwood Observation Playgroup.

The school is jointly sponsored by the College of San Mateo, adult education division, and that parent group which directs the school’s operation.

Because families devote time and cooperative effort to the school during their period of membership, alumnae interest in the progress of the nursery school remains high.

Mrs. Sylvan Selig, outgoing president. brought the luncheon guests up to date on the many innovations the parents have made since occupying the school’s permanent quarters at 86 Center Street.
