Pre-K Train Ride Field Trip

We had beautiful weather for our field trip, the kiddos were very excited. We took the train from San Bruno to Burlingame and walked to Washington Park. The playground with monkey bars and big sand-water tables was new and exciting to the children and they really enjoyed their little adventure.

What a fun field trip!

When we wanted to leave the train was almost 15 minutes late and we sat and sang for a while. I also filmed some of the singing, I hope I’ll get around to posting it soon, stay tuned…

MNS Train field trip to Washington Park

Today the children, and grown-ups  enjoyed a train ride field trip to Washington Park in Burlingame.  Our 2 & 3 year old class boarded Cal-Train at the San Bruno station, and the kiddos had to make the big decision of sitting upstairs or downstairs.  After settling into our seats, we all were quickly smiling, talking, laughing and singing; much to the amusement of the morning commuters!  We even caught a quick glimpse of Millbrae Nursery school from the train windows as we zoomed by.  At Washington Park we enjoyed a delicious snack of homemade pumpkin muffins, fresh fruit, cheese and juice. We ended our fieldtrip by blowing gallons of bubbles into the air, and sleepily riding the train back to school.

Posy Parade – The Outcome

Sunday we had great weather and an even better turnout – around 70 people were were attending, most of them in great outfits. We had lots of fun, the kids were thrilled!

I’d be so happy if someone who is a better writer would write a few lines here – if you don’t have an account email me the text!

David already posted his video, great footage, thanks David:

Amy’s Video is waiting to be posted, for now you can see it here

Some of my photos (I might get around to reducing that and make a gallery eventually. And then I’ll make a video too…):

The blur in the middle of some of my photos is not a bad camera… it’s sunscreen on my lens.

First San Bruno Posy Parade Flower Crafts

On Tuesday, we got together and made craft flowers for the San Bruno Posy parade. Everybody had fun, we got a lot of flowers made, and are ready for even more people at the next event tomorrow.

The Flower crowns require a lot of steps. Olivia and Alyssa got theirs completely finished, Leilani put 4 more flowers on the one she had started at home, and there are a few in progress.

We used a lot of recycled materials – cut up cereal boxes and magazine paper.

We almost forgot to feed the kids… Liselle reminded us and Bigal and Olivia helped her to get the snack ready. Watermelon, veggies and cheese sandwich – Yum!

Thanks for the photos, Maria and Sonja.
