This month is a busy month for us. We are growing by leaps and bounds. Many of the children have become more vocal and it is so exciting when we see friendships forming. Many of the children enjoyed opening the pumpkins in class to see what was inside. They found seeds and all types of slimy fun. Our first field trip to the pumpkin patch was a great success we hope you enjoyed it as well. Norma and I enjoyed seeing all the children dressed up in their costumes and hope everyone has a safe and great trick-or-treat experience. During the month of November our focus will be; what we are thankful for in our lives. We will be celebrating Thanksgiving on Wednesday the 24th and we will have a pot luck together. The two’s will also look around to see what the fall season brings. Exploring the leaves, corn and the difference in the weather. Please look at the curriculum to see what other fun activities we will be doing this month.

Welcome everyone to a new year as Millbrae Nursery School. We hope everyone had a fun and relaxing summer. Teacher Norma spent her summer in Mexico visiting family and Teacher Megan was her as school teaching the summer program with Teacher Liselle. We both are excited to start the New Year and can’t wait to see the kiddo’s in our class. Our goal for this month will be for each of us to get to know each other and our families. We will also get familiar with the classroom. We will see you soon, can’t wait.

It has been a great pleasure and privilege to teach them and watch them grow. Megan and I hope that you all have a great summer and can't wait to see you again in the fall.

In the month of May we have made changes to our class room. We changed our play dough to the color yellow and we brought in to our classroom caterpillars and silk worms. The children have enjoyed watching the caterpillars crawl and hang in their cocoons. The children are patiently awaiting their transformation into butterflies. The children have been learning about the shape of a diamond, with their first and last name in them. At the end of month we will be taking a train trip. We will be talking about trains and making trains in anticipation of our trip.

Megan and I would like to thank all of our parents for all the help and support you have given us. Being that this is our first year with Millbrae Nursery School, we want to thank everyone who has been helpful and encouraging in what we have done and what we hope to do. It has been a pleasure to watch the children grow and develop so much from the beginning of the year. The kiddos have been so much more vocal in being able to express themselves and even carry on conversations with each other. It has been a great pleasure and privilege to teach them and watch them grow. Megan and I hope that you all have a great summer and can’t wait to see you again in the fall.

2009 is coming to a quick end. Where has the time gone?

In the classroom we are doing many fun and great things. The children have been learning the calendar and counting the days of the week. With the weather changing on us we have been spending many days indoors jumping and dancing. They really seem to enjoy those days indoors.

December is one of our favorite months. We enjoy it so much because it is the time when all the family can come together to give thanks for everything good that has happened in the year. It is a time when we give to others.

Teacher Norma and I want to thank you for all your help in and out of the classroom.

We wish you all Happy Holidays, Feliz Navidad y Prospero 2009!
